De Groenlandse Pakhuizen (Greenland Warehouses) are a series of three monumental waterfront warehouses at Keizersgracht 44 in the western Canal District. The three buildings have step-gables which are rare in Amsterdam as most have spout gables. The red shutters look particularly vibrant when the sun strikes them in the morning!
The warehouses were built by some participants in the Nordic or Greenland Whaling Company and date back to 1620. They are now converted into luxury apartments.
